Travel day

Hello and thanks for checking in๐Ÿ‘

Today was travel day, and a long day it was! We left Pease just before the 2AM hour so we could catch our 5:00AM departing plane. We had a great experience today while traveling to Guatemala. No Snow Storm. Nobody left behind. No Delays. No difficulties with tickets & seats. No luggage issues (almost - ask Don). No accidents (people are crazy drivers down here!) Nobody sick and nobody has yet spoken the infamous phrase "I forgot ...." It was truly a great day of traveling so Thank You for your prayers. God is ALWAYS Good!!!

We arrived in Guatemala City just before noon. In case you are wondering, we are still in Central Time. Sadoc (World Renew Field Rep), Luis (Bridger for World Renew in Guatemala), and Adolfo (World Renew Staff Member) picked us up from the airport. Before we left Guatemala City for Antigua, we enjoyed a meal at Pollo Campero. Antigua is about a 40 minute drive from Guatemala City and didn't take long at all. Since it is our travel day, we did some site seeing around beautiful Antigua and made time for a coffee break.
A picture of The Santa Catalina Arch (an Awesome site we walked under today)

We are very thankful of how the day went today but....our interpreter, Patty (our guest this past fall) was prevented from joining us today because of a possible tachycardia condition. We are hoping to join up with her in her home town, Quetzaltenango, when we drive up there tomorrow. Please keep her in your prayers because she means so much to us! Not only is she Great at what she does but she has the biggest heart for the people here and our mission.

Again, Thank You for praying for us today. We look forward to being prayed for and praying for those who are paying for us.

This week, we will most likely experience a veriety of ups and downs, challenges and fun. Father, it’s our desire to respond with mercy and grace, as opposed to reacting out of irritation and anger. So we look to you—we abandon ourselves to you, and the power of the gospel and the ministry of your Holy Spirit. Amen

  1. I am praying for Patty! The trip would not be the same without her-I hope to hear she joins you tomorrow. I think this is the first trip that hasn't had any issues on the way, someone on this trip must be a good luck charm.

  2. Thinking of you on this day of worship. Isn't an incredible thought to think we all worship the same, one, true, God, no matter where we are? Praying that you will experience the joy of the Spirit in a new, exciting, and fresh way today. We have several of your family members at our home for dinner today. They, along with us, send you their love and hugs.
